Come and learn the basic skills of ceramics! In this short course you will make objects of your own design with your own hands. You will learn about various hand-building techniques, such as pinching, sausage and plate techniques, as well as the possibilities of surface patterning. The course uses high-fired stoneware clay. In the last session, the works will be glazed and decorated.
The small group course will be held at ceramic artist Kati Hämäläinen's studio in Roihupelto. The necessary materials and firings are included in the course price.
You don't need any previous skills to participate. Please bring work-resistant clothing.
