When you apply to Basic Education, you will be invited to take an entrance exam. We will select the suitable phase for you on the basis of the entrance exam. The education terms start usually in January or August. The aim of Basic Education is to prepare you for further studies or enhance possibilities to find work or become a Finnish citizen. You can register for Finnish courses if you are 18 years or older, live in Finland and can read and write with Latin alphabet.
