Beginner Finnish courses in Basic Education of Helsingin aikuisopisto

New Finnish courses available starting from January 2025

You can learn Finnish from the course Suomi Yksi (1) on level 0. Studies will continue to courses Suomi Kaksi (2) and Suomi Kolme (3).

Each course contains 28 lessons. You can participate in a course one time only. A course cannot be renewed.

There is a course fee to be paid for each course. Also, you need to purchase the textbook.

You can participate in the courses if you

• are 18 years or older
• live in Finland
• can read and write with Latin alphabet.

Courses are available at the institute or online

You can choose between courses

• in contact teaching at Runeberginkatu 22-24, 00100 Helsinki or
• online on Zoom.

The studies are part-time

It means that they do not have an effect on your unemployment benefits.
