{"id":942,"date":"2023-06-20T11:44:02","date_gmt":"2023-06-20T08:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/helao.fi\/peruskoulu\/?page_id=942"},"modified":"2026-10-29T13:59:42","modified_gmt":"2026-10-29T11:59:42","slug":"terms-for-registration","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/helao.fi\/peruskoulu\/en\/finnish-courses\/terms-for-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"Terms for registration, payment and cancellation in Finnish language courses"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Please read this page carefully<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you register, you accept the terms of registration, payment and cancellation below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#FFD600\" class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Do not use another person&#8217;s personal identity code.<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>You can take a course if<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you are 18 or older<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you live in Finland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you can read and write in the Latin alphabet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you have not completed the course before<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you have paid the course fee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>you do not study at the same time in another basic education school, vocational school, general upper secondary school (lukio), TUVA education or TELMA education.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We check your other study rights at the start of the course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n<div class=\"text-lift-wrapper\"  id=\"registration\" >\n  <div class=\"text-lift bg--pastel-pink\">\n    <div class=\"text-lift__texts\">\n      \n              <div class=\"text-lift__content\">\n          <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>You can register online, by email or at the office<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Register online if you have a Finnish personal identity code and an email address<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, choose the courses you want in Wilma.<\/li>\n<li>Click the green + sign next to the course.<\/li>\n<li>When you have chosen your courses, click Shopping basket (Ostoskori).<\/li>\n<li>Write your email address. We will send the registration form to your email.<\/li>\n<li>Open the email and the link in it. If you cannot find the email, check your junk mail.<\/li>\n<li>Choose how you want to pay before you complete the registration form. You can pay directly with a payment link in your online bank, or with an invoice that we send by email.\n<ul>\n<li>If you choose the payment link, pay right away.<\/li>\n<li>If you choose an invoice by email, you will get it on the next working day. Pay it right away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Complete the form.<\/li>\n<li>Your place on the course is confirmed when you pay the course fee.<\/li>\n<li>If the course starts much later and you need more time to pay, contact the school office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Register by email if you do not have a Finnish personal identity code<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send an email to <a href=\"mailto:peruskoulu@helao.fi\">peruskoulu@helao.fi<\/a>. Tell us which courses you want to register for.<\/li>\n<li>We will ask for your registration details by email.<\/li>\n<li>We will send you an invoice by email. Pay it right away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Register at the office if you do not have an email address<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Come to the office at Runeberginkatu 22\u201324. Check the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/helao.fi\/peruskoulu\/en\/contact-details\/office\/\">opening hours<\/a><\/span>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If the course is full<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can join the waiting list. Complete the registration form. We will tell you if a place becomes free.<\/li>\n<li>You only pay the course fee if you get a place. You do not have to accept the place.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>When you register, you accept that<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>we can change the course schedule or the teacher if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>in exceptional situations, we can change classroom teaching to distance teaching.<\/li>\n<li>we send you information about your course by email or text message.<\/li>\n<li>we save your personal data in the Primus system. Read the <a href=\"https:\/\/helao.fi\/peruskoulu\/tietosuojailmoitus\/tietosuojailmoitus-visma-inschool-primus\/\">privacy notice<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n        <\/div>\n      \n          <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"text-lift-wrapper\"  id=\"payment\" >\n  <div class=\"text-lift bg--mintgreen\">\n    <div class=\"text-lift__texts\">\n      \n              <div class=\"text-lift__content\">\n          <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Payment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>You can pay for the course in your online bank, with an invoice by email or with a payment card at the office.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend that you pay directly with the payment link in your online bank. We cannot send you the payment link again later. When you pay with the payment link, we see your payment in our system right away.<\/p>\n<p>The email invoice is a PDF file. It has the information you need for a bank transfer. If you pay by bank transfer, it can take 1\u20133 days before we receive the payment. If the course starts soon, we may ask you for a receipt of the bank transfer.<\/p>\n<p>You cannot pay for the course in cash or with sport and culture benefits.<\/p>\n<p>If you do not pay the course fee, you lose your place and we remove your registration.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n      \n          <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"text-lift-wrapper\"  id=\"cancellation\" >\n  <div class=\"text-lift bg--pastel-blue\">\n    <div class=\"text-lift__texts\">\n      \n              <div class=\"text-lift__content\">\n          <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cancellation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>If you want to cancel your registration, send an email to <a href=\"mailto:peruskoulu@helao.fi\">peruskoulu@helao.fi<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You get your course fee back if you cancel at least 7 days before the course starts.<\/p>\n<p>You do not get your course fee back if you cancel less than 7 days before the course starts, if you stop the course or if you do not come to the course.<\/p>\n<p>We can cancel a course if not enough people register. We cancel the course at least 3 working days before it starts.
