Study more affordably at the Meto Open University with a member price

• All studies can be completed online from anywhere in Finland.
• The study offerings supported by Meto and the registration links for the studies are listed at the end of the page.
• The course description includes the membership fee, which is paid upon registration and is supported by the association.

How do I get Meto membership benefits?

Registration links are at the bottom of the page. Please indicate on the registration form:

1. To the Union Membership section, see Meto Membership.
2. Select price: Course fee (Meto member)

The college will collectively check the memberships of those who have registered with the union. If the membership is in order, we will not send the student separate information about it.

The discount is already taken into account in the course fee (Meto member) price. The support does not apply to the registration fee charged by the university. There are limited places at the member price.

What fees are involved in the studies?

The total cost of studies consists of adult education college and open university fees.

Studies cannot be paid for with cultural benefits, such as Edenred, Epassi or Smartum.

Adult education fee

• Pay online upon registration
• The price includes the union discount.
• The payment link is valid for 2 days. If you would like to pay later, please contact the office: toimisto@helao.fi.
• Registration becomes effective once you have paid the fee.

Open University fees

• Once your studies have been confirmed to begin, you will receive instructions on how to register for the Open University.
• Registration for courses takes place one course at a time on the Open University website.
• Pay the tuition fee upon each registration.
• There is no union discount on Open University fees.
• Payment due dates cannot be changed, nor can payments be split into installments.

If you wish to cancel your registration, please notify us by email. toimisto@helao.fi.

Will the adult education fee be refunded?

• If you cancel your registration no later than 7 days before the start of your studies and you have not registered with the university, we will refund the membership fee paid upon registration.

When is the adult education fee not refunded?

We will not refund the payment if

• you are registered at the university
• cancel your studies less than 7 days before they start
• you have registered for studies, but you are not participating
• you interrupt your studies.

Will the university refund the fee?

Registration with the university and course enrolment is binding, and the university will not refund the fee.
