Going to YKI

The YKIIN language test was created as part of the YKIIN project funded by OPH. It is an indicative test that can help you determine whether your language skills are at the appropriate level for the intermediate test.

Language test

The purpose of the language test is to determine how well you know the vocabulary and grammar of the Finnish language in order to pass the YKI test. In the YKI test, grammar and vocabulary are tools that help you communicate orally and in writing in different situations and better understand different texts and speech. The real YKI test tests practical skills.

YKI courses organized by Helsingin aikuisopisto

The YKI test examination fee is not included in the course fee, but is paid when registering for the test. Even if you have a place on the YKI course, you must register for the YKI test separately. A place on the course does not automatically entitle you to a place on the YKI test. The YKI examination fee is €140. We reserve the right to change prices.
