Massage courses
The neck and shoulder massage course teaches you various massage techniques to relieve tension in the neck and shoulder area. Massage relieves stress, releases tense muscles, improves metabolism and blood circulation, and leaves you feeling relaxed. Indian head massage is based on a millennia-old tradition of massaging the head, face, neck, and shoulder areas. The massage relaxes, strengthens, and invigorates facial muscles and improves metabolism and blood circulation; the treatment is not recommended for epileptics or if there is a rash in the treatment area. Well-being from nature
The “Gentleness from Nature” course supports holistic health by utilizing natural methods. The course strengthens the relationship with nature and teaches you to understand how nature can act as a healing force and a source of meaning. On the first day, you will learn about the well-being effects of nature and practice briefly outdoors. On the second day, you will apply what you have learned in practice in nearby nature using nature-based and art therapeutic methods.
Self-awareness courses
Self-knowledge courses include Treasure Maps, Strengthening Self-Esteem, You Are Wonderful course, and the secrets of manifestation and ikigai.
The courses allow you to create visible treasure maps of your wishes and learn how focusing helps you realize them. The “Strengthening Self-Esteem – Good Enough Me” course explores self-esteem, self-compassion and self-image through various exercises, and shares experiences. The “You Are Beautiful!” course raises self-esteem and teaches self-love through coaching exercises, creating beauty goals and action plans. Manifestation courses clarify dreams and teach the law of attraction, and create concrete plans to make them come true. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that describes an individual life purpose and reason for existence. Each person has their own personal Ikigai, and finding it can bring deep meaning to life.

Leg training courses
Foot School courses and workshops focus on the health and functionality of the lower extremities. The courses address challenges in the feet, knees and hips and include exercises that help prevent and treat various ailments. The training focuses on the entire body's movement chain from the feet to the pelvis and head, activating the small muscles of the foot. The goal is to improve the optimal alignment of the lower extremities and deepen your awareness of how the body works. The bunion workshop offers rehabilitation tips for pain caused by bunions and bunions. The workshop also includes footwear guidance.

Klein Technology Courses
The Klein Technique is a psychological method developed within Gestalt therapy that helps people understand and process their own emotional states and behaviors. It is based on the idea that everyone has the ability to improve themselves by recognizing and accepting their own experiences and feelings. Coming fall 2025.
Gentle exercise courses
The Gentle Movement weekend course pampers the body and mind through gentle movement. The course involves guided movement inspired by easy tasks, imagery and music, and calming down with a relaxing body care routine.
Meditation
The meditation course introduces participants to various meditation and breathing exercises. Participants receive support and tools to create their own safe and holistic meditation practice.

Mindfulness courses
Mindfulness courses teach presence skills and self-acceptance, help manage stress and improve mental well-being. They usually include meditation exercises, breathing techniques, and body awareness. Coming fall 2025.
qigong
The Qigong course introduces the basics of qigong, such as posture, conscious movement, and breathing. You will also learn a series of movements that will strengthen your joints and develop coordination.
Relaxation courses
Singing bowl relaxation courses allow participants to relax in a comfortable lying position while handmade singing bowls ring. Relaxation relieves stress and anxiety, improves sleep quality, and calms the mind and body.

Shiatsu courses
Shiatsu is a Japanese body treatment based on traditional Chinese medicine that treats both body and mind. The aim of Shiatsu is to support the body's own healing processes, relieve pain, release tension, relax, improve metabolism and harmonize body functions, making it an excellent stress reliever and help with many ailments.
TRE or vibration therapy courses
In TRE® courses, you will learn TRE stress-relieving movements, which are used to trigger a natural tremor or vibration in the muscles. This tremor helps to release tension from the body and mind. TRE® is a simple and easy-to-adopt self-care method. It is important to check with your doctor if you have an underlying medical condition that requires attention, and TRE® is not suitable during pregnancy or immediately after surgery. Wellbeing subscription courses
Does your company need to organize a program for a quiet/busy day or other recreational days or kick-off events? We organize various activities and workshops to help create a sense of community and relaxation. Subscription courses can also be a fun program for birthdays, bachelor parties or various evenings with friends.

College facilities Located with good transport connections, the courses are easy to get to. The courses are held at the university building on Runeberginkatu or in the center of Helsinki on Annankatu.

Is there anything left to ponder?
Student Counseling always offers you help in finding the right level and course, for example if you have time from a previous course or if you want to learn a completely new sport.

The lesson length is 45 minutes.
The language of instruction for the courses is usually Finnish. In many courses, teachers can also teach in English or another language. You can ask the student guidance office what language will be used in the course.
The facilities have all the necessary equipment, unless otherwise stated in the course information. Please bring your own towel to protect the exercise mat.
Remember to take care of your own insurance coverage, as the college does not take out insurance for students.
There are changing rooms on Runeberginkatu and Annankatu, which also have lockers. Always store valuable items in lockers or take them with you to the gym. The school is not responsible for lost items.
Distance teaching
Some of the teaching at Helsinki Adult Education Centre is organised via distance learning, such as Zoom. Distance learning applications are easy to use and you can join the class flexibly, even from home. The link you receive from the teacher will automatically direct you to the distance learning class.
