Classical singing courses teach the basics of classical singing through various breathing and voice exercises and introduce you to a wide range of classical singing repertoire. The course allows you to get to know your own voice as an instrument and also provides tips for developing it. The courses also include singing simple songs, focusing on voice formation, phrasing and interpretation.

The school offers various classical singing courses. In pair lessons, you learn together by singing and listening, and in addition, both students also get their own singing time during the lesson. In individual lessons, you will get to know the basics of classical singing and the main repertoire according to your starting level and goals. You can participate in the intensive classical singing courses whether you are a beginner or have been singing for a longer time. Participating in a small classical singing group requires some previous experience in singing or music.

College facilities Located with good transport connections, the courses are easy to get to. The courses are held at the university building on Runeberginkatu or in the center of Helsinki on Annankatu.

The lesson length is 45 minutes.

The language of instruction for the courses is usually Finnish. In many courses, teachers can also teach in English or another language. You can ask the student guidance office what language will be used in the course.
