Helsinki Adult Education Centre organizes yoga teacher training in Helsinki in collaboration with Samatva. This yoga teacher training (RYT200H) is a thorough and practical way to deepen your yoga knowledge. This basic training will give you a broad understanding of yoga and versatile tools for guiding yoga.
The course is ongoing and registration for this implementation is no longer possible. We will inform you on these pages when the next implementation starts.
Becoming a yoga teacher – training content:
- Unique content: The training is based on to a series of movements built from warrior words and emphasizes controlled slowing down of the exercise to achieve deeper effects.
- Practical learning: You will examine in detail the technique of asana and breathing exercises, with emphasis on mind control and developing body mobility and strength.
- To become a professional instructor: You will learn to build and control safe, calming yoga programs. You will deepen your understanding pedagogy, assistance techniques and guiding students in various situations.
- Comprehensive theory: You will get a strong foundation functional anatomy and physiology (focus on the organs) and about the central concepts of yoga philosophy.
- Skills for the yoga industry: The training includes a section on yoga as a profession, covering basics of entrepreneurship, marketing and communications.

This gives you the ability to act professionally as a yoga instructor in Finland and abroadAfter successful completion (homework, contact lessons, mock exam) you will receive RYT 200H certificateYou can also start RYT 500H studies or combine this training with previously completed RYT 200H training.

The price of the training includes teaching, materials and tutoring. You can pay for the training in several installments. The experienced trainers are Anneli Rautiainen, Janne Kontala, Emma Slow, Iitu Leinonen and Mikko Mononen.
