Cancellation

Please let us know if you change your mind and want to cancel your registration. Sometimes the college may have to cancel or suspend a course. We can refund the course fee within the cancellation policy or transfer the fee to another course.

How do I cancel my course registration?

If you wish to cancel your registration, please notify us by email. office@helao.fi.

Please note that it is also possible to change the course level if the course feels too easy or too demanding. Please contact us immediately after the first time. office@helao.fi.

Will the payment be refunded?

If you cancel your registration no later than 7 days before the start of the course,

  • We will refund the course fee paid via online banking, payment card or mobile payment.
  • We can usually refund the course fee paid with Edenred, Epass or Smartum to your bank account if the cancellation and payment were made within the same year.
  • we can transfer the course fee to another course.

When is a payment non-refundable?

We will not refund the course fee if

  • you cancel the course less than 7 days before the start of the course
  • you have registered for the course, but you are not attending
  • you discontinue your participation in the course.

CAN THE COLLEGE CANCEL THE COURSE?

The college may cancel a course if there are not enough students registered for it. The course must be cancelled no later than two business days before it starts.

We will notify you by text message and/or email.

Will the course fee be refunded?

  • We will refund the course fee paid via online banking, payment card or MobilePay.
  • We can usually refund the course fee paid with Edenred, Epass or Smartum to your bank account if the cancellation and payment were made within the same year.
  • We can transfer the course fee to another course.

CAN THE COLLEGE INTERRUPT THE COURSE?

The college may suspend a course in exceptional circumstances due to force majeure.

We will notify you by text message and/or email.

If the institute has to interrupt the ongoing face-to-face teaching, the course will continue as distance learning. If distance learning is not possible, the course will be postponed to another date or interrupted completely.

Will the course fee be refunded?

If the course is completely discontinued, the institute will not refund the course fee, but the student can use the course fee for another course.
