Assessment to support adult S2 teaching

Personnel training for Finnish language teachers and trainers, 3 credits

Target group

The training is intended for Finnish language teachers and trainers in liberal education.

Objectives and contents

The aim of the training is to strengthen the continuous assessment skills of Finnish language teachers, which are seen in the training as activities that guide students and support learning. During the spring, the preparation of teaching and assessment materials will be explored in depth and both comprehension (listening and reading) and production (speaking and writing) skills will be explored. In addition, the importance of plain language in teaching and the development of reading and writing skills will be discussed.

Studies

The training includes five days of face-to-face teaching (4 lessons/day) and online work on the Moodle learning platform. Each training day includes an assignment and an online discussion on the topic. In addition, during the training, a plan for achieving the learning objectives of your own course or training will be prepared, which will be returned to the learning platform by November 15.11.2021, XNUMX.

Schedule

The training will start soon, Friday 19.3.2021 March 16.4, and other upcoming days will also be Fridays 14.5 April and 3.9 May, 8.10 September and 16.15 October, always from 19.30:22 to 24:00100. The training venue is Helsinki Adult Education Centre, Runeberginkatu 15.11.2020–XNUMX, XNUMX Helsinki. It is also possible to participate in the training remotely. All assigned tasks must be completed by XNUMX November XNUMX to receive a certificate.

Educators

The trainers are PhD Marja Seilonen, PhD Irene Wichmann, MSc Mari Ek, MSc Raisa Rintamäki, MSc Jussi Visti and MSc Nuppu Tuononen.

Applying for training

The application period continues until February 12.2.2021, 16.2.2020. Those selected for the training will be sent an invitation no later than February XNUMX, XNUMX.

Payments and cancellation terms

The training is a staff training program for liberal arts education funded by the Finnish National Agency for Education and is free of charge for participants. The participant is responsible for any travel, accommodation, meals and substitute costs. Cancellations after the last day of registration will be charged 50 euros. Cancellations without a valid reason will be charged 100 euros.
