Logotherapist Anne Ilmoni: "Logotherapy gave me a profession that allows me to help others"

Anne Ilmoni is a logotherapist LTI®, LIF®, who was inspired to study meaningful living and ended up helping others.

Logotherapy is a spiritual, purpose-oriented psychology and philosophy developed by Viennese neurologist and philosopher Viktor E. Franklin.

Basic studies in logotherapy are suitable for anyone, regardless of age, who is interested in growing as a person, identifying the essential building blocks of life, learning to encounter people with appreciation, and discovering and utilizing resources.

Anne Ilmoni was originally inspired by the ideas of the developer of logotherapy, neurologist and psychiatrist Viktor E. Franklin.

– Franklin's ideas were quite similar to my own. It inspired me to study.

Anne graduated as a logotherapist in 2019 after studying for 4,5 years.

– From the beginning, I intended to utilize logotherapy in my life and make a profession out of it. I was already able to practice everything I learned on a practical level during my studies.

Logotherapy differs from other forms of therapy due to its understanding of humanity and the intentionality of life.

– Logotherapy is based on the assumption that life always has a purpose. The philosophy of logotherapy comforts us. Its methods teach us and give us the strength to overcome life's challenges.

The biggest realization during her studies was when Anne felt she had found the building blocks to help other people.

– I have always been curious and have searched for different paths into people's mental landscapes. I want to get answers to how I can best help people with their challenges. With logotherapy, I am able to understand how I can best help others.

Today, Anne has her own company, Logoterapia Nyt, and she also works weekly as a logotherapist at the Finnish Population Association.

– There are clients from all walks of life. Logotherapy is generally considered a “therapy of hope.” I never send a client away with a problem, but rather with hope.
